The poster for Benjamin Francis Leftwich interested me with the style of a picture of the artist himself centred   with creative graphic designs surrounding him. Although it is fairly simple it is effective and clear having clear attention to the artist and the writing. x I

album cover 'Dogs Days Are Over' by Florence and The Machine

The album cover to 'Dogs Days Are Over' by Florence and The Machine is extremely interesting. The clever usage of a photograph relating to the song with Florence involved into it, is amazing itself. However looking further into the image you see drawn images of animals included into the photo, creating it to look like a different world through the frame effect surrounding the photo. As I love the drawing idea of the cover, I could possibly again take this idea into mind, therefore it would allow me to include more of my own photos as well as my artistic side of drawing. x I

Album Cover for 'Pictures' by Benjamin Francis Leftwich

The album cover for 'Pictures' by Benjamin Francis Leftwich is fairly simple but really effective to the title 'Pictures'. The use of drawn images put together in a collage display instead of the use of photographs, allows this cover to portray a moving image to the audience, with the use of plan but gripping colours to suit his song. Again this Idea of creating a collage look to form an effective picture is another idea i will Put forward when making my cover. x I

The Paper Kites Album cover for Woodland

The album Woodland by The Paper kites is a Favorited just like their videos,  I love the writing in particular on this album cover, simple but effective to their album. The graphic, painted affect of the decorated cover is perfect, relating well to the album title. This is an idea I would defiantly put forward into my album cover, however I will include photos I have taken and put them on the inside of the cover. x I

C4 hollyoaks- into the woods ( ideas for ko ko- float )

In the Hollyoaks advert for savage week, I love the idea of it being similar to Alice in Wonderland but with a dark twist, however I am also interested in the M.E.S portrayed. The costumes fit into the set of woods well with animal masks and bohemian dressed girls, almost like a festival vibe to it but keeping it dreamy at the same time. The set in a wood is fascinating by the wood being decorated with flags, ribbons and lights hanging from the trees as well as bubbles floating in the air creating almost another world. The shots ranging from long to close up, showing the full set and movement of the video is effective as well and the cuts going from slow to a more faster pace, showing more action until slowing down again gives an excitement to the video. Throughout this video I love the slow movement of the people, creating detail and fitting to the chosen song, especially towards the end when the girl spins round. The lighting towards the end is the most effective in the dark as the cast is walking through the woods holding fire torches in their hands as light, making it all very mystical, this is shown also with the lanterns they let off into the sky. These are some of the ideas I look to put forward to the song idea Float by KOKO. x I

First Song Choice ( KO KO-Float)

my first choice of song which i will look into maybe making a music video for with permission is the song  float by KO KO, here i have made a mood board to show some ideas towards this song. x I

In this mood board for the song 'Float' I looked mainly for images that related to nature and the word 'float'. It includes people such as children dressed as animals or wearing animal masks and girls dressed in bohemian dresses that blend into the wood set i have chosen that would be by a lake or river with floating candles. The wood set wood be decorated with things hanging from trees such and lights and ribbons including things floating, such as bubbles, lanterns, smoke, glitter and feathers to look like a different world, magical and mysterious as well as dreamy. x I

Florence and The Machine- Rabbit Heart

The amazing delicate lighting in the music video 'Rabbit Heart' by Florence and The Machine as well and the bohemian styled dresses, automatically give this music video a dreamy, fairytale perspective making everything with a sense of beauty and relating to a romanticist image. The fades on top of each other connect to creating a dreamy, soft picture, catching emotion for this song. This technique is something i will bear in mind for my music video. The people used in the music video move in lots of twirly motions, elaborating a floaty movement to connect to the song. Another connection to the song is the Alice and Wonderland theme at the table, showing it all to be slightly crazy on top of the dance movements of the heads. Towards the end of this music video is a funeral like image, however it is created once again with a dreamy sense, making it beautiful with the candles being placed into a lake while she floats off and is seen through a fade at the end. x I
